Maslab 2005

In Maslab 2005 "field goals" provided a new mechanical challenge, and an optional exploration round gave teams a chance to acquire information prior to the scoring round. The long-time leadership of Maslab handed over the reigns to a new batch of organizers, and steps were taken to make the year-to-year operation of the course easier.

The Contest

The Maslab contest is a research-caliber problem requiring students to develop computer vision systems, control systems, and AI planning to autonomously control a robot.

The Teams

Fifteen teams (over fifty students) participated in Maslab 2005. Each team's robot had a unique mechanical and software design which made for an extremely exciting contest!

The Kit

The difficult Maslab contest calls for powerful hardware and software, which is provided to students to jump-start their development.

Wiki Forums

The Wiki is an interactive web forum which contains team journals, lecture notes, and day-to-day communication between students and staff.
